Biographical note
|
|
Wayne Ostendorf was born on September 23, 1934 in
Grundy Center, Iowa. He received a B.S. (1960) in Statistics
from Iowa State University. He was an Assistant Professor
(1967-1973) and an Associate Professor (1973-2000) in Computer
Science at Iowa State University.
He was made the Director of the Administrative Data
Processing (ADP) Center (1971-2000). He was awarded the
Professional and Scientific Excellence Award in 1994. He
retired in 2000. He married Eleanor Jones; they had two
children: Nancy Ann, and Alan Wayne. |

in: applied
systems technology; computer based information systems; data
center management, large databases, interactive systems;
hardware/software and people synergism. |
