Biographical note

|
Dorleen E. (Aulerich) Witt’s hometown was Monona,
Iowa. She attended Iowa State
College (University) from 1940 until 1944.
She was an active member of the Lutheran Students’ Association.
Witt received a B.S. (1944) in Home Economics Education and she
worked for the Interstate Power Company after graduation

Collection
description

This collection contains three scrapbooks that document
Mrs. Witt’s years as a student at Iowa State College (University).
Included are photographs, news clippings, programs, and various
memorabilia associated with activities on campus such as VEISHEA,
commencement ceremonies, Honors Day, and social dances.
The scrapbooks contain photos of the campus, VEISHEA parade floats,
military revues, and classmates. There
are also images of the Ellen H. Richards house that was used for Home
Management courses. |
