| James W. M. Dean was born December 23, 1894 in Hamburg, Iowa. He attended Iowa State College from 1912 to 1917, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1917. He died on June 26, 1969. |
| Collection description |
| The collection contains biographical information and a scrapbook with photographs and ephemera. The numerous photographs depict student life at Iowa State College and Dean's entry into military service in World War I. |
