Biographical note

 
Frances Smith retired from her almost thirty year career as a professor in Iowa State University’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences’ Department of Education on May 16, 1997. She was actively involved in the American Home Economics Association and was instrumental in the creation of the Integration in Home Economics Interest Group in the late 1980s.

This collection consists of correspondence, conference-related material, newsletters, and a publication, all of which center around Smith’s interest in the Integration in Home Economics Interest Group.
